Why Did Carroll Shelby Smile After Seeing Wicked Quick’s Shelby Collection?
He loved the direction Wicked Quick was taking the brand and respected our unwavering commitment to quality, authenticity and design. In the early years, our CEO, Tarran Pitschka, arranged one-on-one meetings with legends like Carroll Shelby, Ed Iskenderian/Isky Cams and F1/Scarab driver Bruce Kessler, to hear stories from those who were there and lived it. Tarran went on to develop relationships with 2x NASCAR Cup Series champion, Joey Logano, 2x NHRA champion driver/owner, Tony Pedregon and 4x Australian Top Fuel champion, Darren Morgan.Armed with inspiration from the drivers themselves, how to represent them visually—the design— was equally important. After years spent honing his craft as a Senior Designer for Nike, Tarran started Wicked Quick with the goal of infusing racing history and an unmistakable design aesthetic into each Wicked Quick product.
